Ioulia Gourari, MD, is a board-certified physician specializing in Pediatric Pulmonology. Her clinical interests include diagnosing and treating asthma, chronic cough, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, recurrent pneumonia, congenital lung and airway disorders, interstitial lung disease, sleep disordered breathing and neuromuscular disorders affecting breathing

Dr. Gourari completed her pediatric pulmonary fellowship at NYP Weill Cornell Medical Center, after receiving her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completing pediatric residency at NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

With a particular interest in asthma, Dr. Gourari has published research on the impact of environmental factors and COVID-19 on children with asthma. Her findings were presented at the American Thoracic Society international conference in 2021, where she was awarded the Assembly on Pediatrics Abstract Scholarship.
